Marcus Brody is a fictional character, commonly known as Brody and appearing in the Indiana Jones films Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Brody was the curator of the National Museum and a very good friend of Indy's. He helped Indy with arranging the expedition to find the Ark and later, the holy grail. During the search for the holy grail, Brody was kidnapped by Nazis while he was in Iskenderun to commission Sallah's assistance in obtaining the Grail. The Nazis took the Grail Diary from Brody wich helped them to find the grail temple. Brody was later rescued by Indy, Sallah and Henry Jones Sr.. Brody died in 1952 at the age of seventy-four.

In the films, Brody was played by veteran British actor Denholm Elliott.

In Lego Indiana Jones

Marcus Brody appears in Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures as a playable character with the "academic access" ability. He has no weapons.

Raiders of the Lost Ark

Brody only appears at the beginning of raiders when he introduces Indy to Colonel Musgrove & Major Eaton and at the end where he is talking to Indy and Marion.

Last Crusade

Brody is first seen at Walter Donovan's house who wanted Indy to find clues leading to the location of the holy grail. Jones agreed when Donovan revealed that his father had gone missing during his search for the grail and Brody followed him to Venice where they would meet Dr. Elsa Schneider who worked with Indy's father to find the grail. Later when Indy and Elsa found a tomb, Brody stayed behind and was later knocked out by a member of the Brotherhood of the Cruciform Sword so that they could go down in the tomb without him being able to warn Jones and Schneider. After he had parted ways with Indy, he wasn't seen again until the last level where he returned without any sort of explanation. He, among with Indy, Henry Sr. and Sallah were the only people who survived when the grail temple collapsed.

Unlike in the movies, Brody never travels to Sallah and is never kidnapped by the nazis.
